作者：Shaker Elder Joseph Brackett, Jr. (於西元1848年所著)

简单的礼物这首乐曲是十八世纪美国基督教「仙克教派」(Shaker又翻译为「震颤派」)所有流传下来的歌曲中，最有名的一首，十分为大家所熟析。著名的美国作曲家“柯普兰”在他做的芭蕾舞曲《阿帕拉契之春》(Appalachian Spring)中，便应用了此旋律。近年来在国际间大放异彩的「火焰之舞」和英国的“Blast”都在表演中使用这首曲调，甚至连国内电视广告也拿来当配乐，可见此歌曲受欢迎的程度了。
