Toni Braxton 唐妮·布莱斯顿 应是90年代国际流行乐坛最炙手可热的新生代女歌手之一， 拥有多张百万销量的唱片，多首耳熟能详的单曲和不计其数的奖项，她独特、低沉的嗓音继续发挥着“点石成金”般的魔力。 Braxton的家位于美国马里兰州的Severn，父亲曾是一名牧师，观念保守， 对子女管教严厉。比如说，女孩不准穿紧身短裤、凉鞋或化妆，当然也不许听流行音乐。 来 Braxton 进入波依州立大学学习，但唱歌才是她真正的热情所在。她和3姐妹组成的合唱团“The Braxtons”签约 Arista 唱片公司并以一曲“The Good Life”引起了著名制作人 Antonio“L.A.”Reid 和 Kenneth“Babyface”Edmonds的注意。 1991 年他们把 Toni Braxton 签入两人共同创办的唱片厂牌 Laface 旗下。
